Darold is a practicing artist, designer and engineer whose career path has encompassed diverse roles, from starting out as a design apprentice at a digital design studio in Japan, then Front-end Web Developer, to UI/UX Engineer and Principal Product Designer. He has played a vital role in shaping the digital products for a number of small startups and large corporations, collaborating closely with engineers and executives for SaaS and mobile software development.
He graduated from the Academy of Art University with a Master of Fine Arts in Web Design & New Media, and then later received a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University for his thesis research work, Development of a 3D Simulation Tool Leveraging Genetic Algorithms for Neural Network Optimization in Automated Driving Systems: An Application for Scenario Analysis
